Set sail to The Waterford at Corpus Christi, which offers assisted living services in Corpus, Christi, Texas. Our community, just minutes from Padre Island National Seashore, lets residents bask in the warm sunshine and even warmer service of our experienced staff. Residents are warmhearted, interesting people who enjoy the freedom of Assisted Living – freedom from the worries and dangers of solitary living and cooking and cleaning in surroundings that are kind and gracious – with the knowledge of knowing someone is always at hand if help is needed. Our community strikes the perfect balance between care and safety. All of our floor plans give residents sought-after amenities that create comfortable spaces and offer privacy. Residents can find plenty to do in our common areas, from swapping stories and meeting new friends to taking part in community events put on by our Activity Director. Monthly calendars feature a diverse range of activities, from Zumba fitness classes and bingo games to sing-alongs and social hours. When residents wish to explore the surrounding area, our convenient location near State Highway 358 allows residents to reach destinations near and far, including restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues.
Featured Amenities
Each of our apartments strikes the perfect balance between safety features and comfort. Floor plans are spacious and create free-flowing spaces that are easily navigated by our residents. The apartments also offer roomy walk-in closets, mini-blinds on all windows and wall-to-wall carpet. Beyond these comforts, residents also enjoy the peace of mind afforded by safety features including safety-assist hand railings in the bathrooms, emergency response systems, emergency call buttons and smoke alarms with sprinkler systems. Winding walking paths offer the perfect place for residents to get some exercise while enjoying our beautiful property, including our landscaped courtyard. While residents enjoy some entertainment, our staff takes care of housekeeping and linen services.
Available Services
Our staff, available 24 hours a day, works with residents to create customized care plans to fit their lifestyles. We understand that everyone is unique and requires different level of care. We provide everything from bathing, dressing and grooming assistance to housekeeping and laundry services. Escort and transfer assistance and medication reminders are also available. We encourage our residents to be active with exercise programs. A number of home health agencies are also on site, and residents always have access to a licensed nurse any time of day.

The Waterford at Corpus Christi was very beautiful. They had a first floor apartment, which was appealing, and it seemed to be pretty clean and organized. They also have a lot of amenities. The staff didn't realize we were there for the tour and they seemed to be a little disorganized. We actually stood around and waited for almost 35 minutes. They have a bus available, parties, and they seem to be a very busy community.

We visited The Waterford at Corpus Christi, but we left after seeing the room we were looking at, because it didn't meet our needs at all. They said it had a small kitchenette, but you can't really call it that -- it was a closet with a microwave. We were really disappointed in this community. The size of the room was fine, it's just that it was not what they described to us. We didn't feel comfortable with the staff member who accommodated us. Every other senior community they sat us down and explained what they offered, but he didnt do that. He gave us paperwork first that was about confidentiality. It was a very odd feeling when we were there. When we went into the lobby area, and the dining area, the cleanliness was awesome, but the room itself didn't seem clean and was very dated. The lobby was beautiful, and as we walked past the dining area it was nicely decorated. If it's going to be a room that's advertised to have a kitchenette, they need to update that part of it. The bathrooms in the rooms need some updating as well.
