The Cottages at Clear Lake was my choice. That's where my husband and I want my mother-in-law to go. It's wonderful; it's absolutely gorgeous inside. I was able to witness the preparation of the food. The staff members were just wonderful. For the residents, there were lots of activities to do. It is also color-coded. They can remember exactly which color their room is in, which is really neat. They have hydration program also. With every meal, the residents get three separate drinks. Each drink has the nutrients that their body needs, which I think is wonderful. They were all smiles. The place was great.

The Cottages at Clear Lake are wonderful. We liked the home-like atmosphere and the attention that the aides gave to all of the residents. We also liked the professional demeanor of the staff. It's awesome. The food looked and smelled good. It's nice the way the chef brings the food over to the dining room and the aides put it on the plates and serve it to the residents. It's homey, like a real house. My mother-in-law is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, so she has to be taken care of completely. It's expensive, but it's worth every penny. They have pool noodles where you hit balloons, bingo, and a game where they remember certain events. They also have concerts and church services, sing hymns, and listen to music. The facility is perfect. The views aren't so great, but it's OK. It's so unique, and we really loved it when we first went in. We liked what we saw.

I'm very pleased with how they treat the residents at The Cottages at Clear Lake. They treat them with a lot of dignity. They're very on top of their needs, not just nutritional, but also medical. They get them up in the mornings and they put them in clothes. They're not coming to their breakfast meal in pajamas. They really feel very at home. Everybody is very neatly dressed. I'm very pleased and I'm there every other day and at all times of the day. I've been there when they serve them their meals. They have a chef that cooks for them, and it's very well done. My friend is sharing a room with another gentleman and they have two twin beds and there's a closet. The rooms aren't real big, but it's a dementia unit, so they don't need big rooms. The bathroom is very large, so it's very easy to get wheelchairs in and out of there. The place is very beautiful, very neat, clean, and smelled clean. The back patio is landscaped beautifully. Activities start at 9:30 in the morning and go until 3:30 in the afternoon. It's very well organized and planned out.

My mother-in-law has been living at The Cottages at Clear Lake. They're very good and the rooms are spacious. They have music, crafts, reminiscing activities, pet therapy, and church. It's a nice facility with a nice staff.

The Cottages at Clear Lake is very nice and very clean. The activities are good. They offer three meals a day. My parents can go out in a secure place. The staff members are very nice. They're busy all the time cleaning and doing things. The food looks very good. The dining room is very nice, big, and clean.

The Cottages at Clear Lake were very nice and I really liked it. It's clean and well-maintained. I only met a few of their staff but they seem to be very nice. I saw some residents in one of the rooms playing bingo. That was that only activity going on at that time but from what I understand, they have lots of activities. They have an outside area, and there's a room in one of the buildings for families that wanted to come and have a gathering. It's also too expensive for me, it's more than I could afford.

We did not have a good experience with The Cottages at Clear Lake. My father had three hospitalizations and six falls. He has a very critical disease, and they didn't give him his medicine on time. I like that he lost 19 pounds because he wasn't eating too much sweets there. They had some real nice people, but they didn't have the nursing care they needed. If you have people that are that ill, you need to have the right people available. They were lazy. The food was OK and activities were decent. He even escaped one time. They promised me he would not be able to get out, but he did.
