I went to Landon Ridge Sugar Land Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was very nice, bigger than I would have liked, and felt too big for my brother. The rooms were nice, it was pricier, but they had studios and apartments. They had a beauty place to get a haircut and get your nails done, and they had crafts.

Brookdale First Colony is beautiful, and the amenities are wonderful. They made my father feel very welcomed, and they provided for his needs. I am very pleased. The staff is wonderful, and the food is great. I would absolutely recommend them.

Landon Ridge Sugar Land was very nice, but the availability in the independent living was not much, and there was only one unit. They did say that if he wanted to put a deposit on that unit, he could. That unit was near the swimming pool, which was fine for some people, but my ex-spouse was on a walker, which worried me a little. The location of that room wasn't good because you'd have to walk a long way to get to the dining hall, and with him being on a walker that would be hard. There wasn't anything wrong with the community, but the unit wasn't good for his physical disability. The independent living and assisted living levels were all on the same campus. There were three buildings that were separated according to the needs or type of living. I didn't see a whole lot of activities, but I saw a lot of people enjoying the meals. We were there on a Sunday. It was like a buffet and they offered us a meal which was very nice. My ex-spouse was with us and enjoyed the meal very much. It's unfortunate that it was the only unit available at that time, but the unit itself was wonderful, newly remodelled, and looked out on a grassy area. It was very nice.

My visit at Greatwood at Sugar Land was fine. They were very nice people, and the place was nice, like the cafeteria. The rooms were also nice and everything was good. They helped with the laundry, there was an exercise room, and so on.

The Overture Sugar Land was beautiful, but it was a little bit more than I could afford. It reminds me of a hotel. Ive never met more beautiful people in my life. I didnt even know people like that exist anymore. It was beautiful, neat and clean, classy, and gorgeous. It's just five minutes from my home, so Ive been there three times already. I was there when they had a social hour, so the people came out. Theyre happy to attend, and the food was wonderful and healthy.

Brookdale Sugar Land was clean, and the people who lived there seemed happy and well taken care of. The staff was very nice and professional. The food and the menu looked good, and the dining area was nice and clean. I liked this one of all of them because it was newer and well maintained. Some of them were playing bridge in one of the rooms.

Silverado Sugar Land is purely memory care, but it's terrific. I've visited some of my friends' loved ones there, the people there are wonderful, and the place is just great. I went in their restaurant, and it was setup to look like a little Italian place. It looks like there are several restaurants. I spoke to some old ladies there who didn't have anything negative to say about this community. Another thing about this place is that they have animals there, so you can bring your dog or cat with you, which is wonderful. During Memorial Day or Veteran's Day, they showed me a wall of pictures of veteran residents now and pictures of them when they were still active in the service, it was really touching. It's an old facility, but very special and homey.

Everybody was very nice at Brookdale Sugar Land. However, my mom's memory is not as bad as the patients I saw there. The building was small, older, and looked like a cozy house, but it needs some remodeling. The center patio was sad and basically had nothing on it. The people were very attentive. It seemed like people stayed there for a long time.

Brookdale First Colony was very nice, I like the people that I've met so far. They have a pool, card games, movies, and so on. The dining area was large and I saw a lot of the residents eating meals and having conversation. The staff was very friendly.
