Generous one- and two-bedroom floor plans allow residents to decorate their apartments in a variety of configurations tailored to their personal tastes. Each sound-proof unit offers a wheel-chair accessible private bath (with walk-in seated shower), kitchenette (with built-in cabinetry, full-size refrigerator, & microwave), and individually controlled central heating and cooling. HeatherWood Assisted Living and Memory Care is an absolutely beautiful environment. The rooms are large and bright. The tour was a very pleasant experience for me. If I had a choice, that's where I would put my family; however, they can't accommodate the needs my parents have. Nevertheless, the person who assisted me was absolutely fantastic. She took a lot of time with me and answered every question I had. She also introduced me to a nurse on duty who answered my more nursing related questions. She was absolutely wonderful. They have a cook onsite who cooks much of their food from scratch. They have a garden that they grow, and they have fresh veggies that they put into their meals. So that was very appealing to me. The meals looked good.
