Located in a quiet corner of western Madison, The Middleton provides a beautiful, quiet home conveniently close to all the attractions of a wonderful city. You'll enjoy Madison's exciting shopping, fine dining and first-class healthcare just minutes from your doorstep. Residents love exploring all of the unique sites our community has to offer, like the Historic Ice Age Trail, the State Capitol Building and the Mendota Lake. We're also within driving distance of Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis. Our friendly live-in managers are devoted to helping you feel like a part of our family, and you'll love coming home to us.
The Middleton is managed by Holiday Retirement, a leading provider of independent senior living services. We pride ourselves on providing security, comfort and value to tens of thousands of seniors seeking a fulfilling, independent lifestyle.
Featured Amenities
The Middleton provides a full schedule of activities and events that focus on promoting and maintaining wellness amongst our residents. Residents can experience new things such as Tai Chi or participate in group activities such as bean bag baseball. We even offer a game room where residents can do everything from play Wii videogames to assemble a jigsaw puzzle with friends.
Along with keeping the mind sharp, we also stress keeping the body in good condition. That is why we regularly schedule exercise classes and provide on-site access to a well-equipped fitness center.
Available Services
While staying at our community, each resident has the opportunity to participate in our exclusive travel program. Through this program, seniors can visit nearly any of our over 300 retirement communities for up to seven nights at no additional charge. During the visit, residents will enjoy all the same service and amenities they enjoy at home while having the chance to meet new friends and experience new places.
We understand that each individual is unique and that needs may change over time. Holiday does not provide any health care services. However, residents are welcome to receive services from any outside home health care provider of their choice to help them continue enjoying life at our community.

It was great. The rooms were a little small. In one room, I didn't like the view because it looked out to garages, but the rest was great. The people were great. Everything was nice. You can order off the menu in a beautiful dining room. They had an exercise room and puzzles all over the place. It's a nice, friendly place with nice white halls that smelled good.

We currently have my friend in here, and he seems to be OK at this point. It's well furnished and has courteous staff, so we're happy with him there. It's a beautiful site. The landscaping is excellent. A shuttle is provided for going to town.

It is out of town, on the fringes of Middleton, and there were farm lands around it. The staff was fine and friendly. The couple of rooms I saw were reasonable; the larger ones had kitchens, but most of them do not. It's very reasonable.

It was rather small and much more limited than some of the other places we looked at, although the location was perfect. We were just looking for something with quite a lot more activity. The place was perfectly pleasant, it just wasn't quite what we were looking for. They need to be much bigger to have the resources to meet the standards of some of the other places we saw. Also, when we looked at the menus they offered, it was clear that there wasn't anything in there that I was interested in eating since I'm vegetarian. My husband wasn't impressed either. It was kind of Wisconsin comfort food, like burgers and meatloaf.
