Description of Holiday Andover Place
Andover Place offers residents a unique balance between peaceful living and convenience to excellent dining, shopping and healthcare facilities. We are also located near popular local attractions such as the Clinton Presidential Center, Pinnacle Mountain State Park and the Arkansas Arts Center.
Andover Place is a part of Holiday Retirement, a company in the business of providing comfort, value and security to seniors. Since 1971, Holiday has been creating cheerful communities for individuals who want to enjoy an independent and enriching retirement.

To ensure that every resident gets the apartment that best suits their wants and needs, we provide them with a variety of floor plans from which to choose. We also allow our residents to furnish their new homes exactly as they see fit and even keep small cats and dogs as pets.
Balancing good fitness with a solid diet is a key part of maintaining optimal health for seniors. That is why at Andover Place we are thrilled to offer our residents both a well-equipped fitness center and three nutritious meals every day served in our restaurant-style dining room.
Available Services
Our professional staff are on the premises 24 hours a day to help meet the needs of all our residents. This includes handling chores such as weekly housekeeping and complimentary laundering of bed linens and towels. Staff are also available to provide shuttle service to local appointments and errands.
We understand that each individual is unique and that needs may change over time. Holiday does not provide any health care services. However, residents are welcome to receive services from any outside home health care provider of their choice to help them continue enjoying life at our community.

Andover Place is beautiful. The dining room was beautiful and the facilities were beautiful. The people were accommodating, they have pull-cords for the individuals who live there, and they have transportation care for people who need to be transported to different places. They have a library, a beauty shop, and a movie place where they have movie nights. They have a lot of displays with the things they do with their people. There are nice seating areas, and there are outdoor areas if you want to garden. The staff was really great. They stayed in contact with me after my visit to answer any questions.

Andover Place was pretty good except they had water damage and they were in the process of repairing it. I liked the people. They have a swimming pool, hot tub, exercise program, art and crafts, and they also have a sports room where people can go and watch games. It's a nice place. They have a visitor's room and they can have family come in from out of town and they can actually stay there. They were very informative.

My aunt was in Andover Place for a while. It was very nice and very pretty. The food was excellent and the cafeteria was nice. They have actual chefs there that prepare the food. The rooms were nice. They have nice activities for them to attend. I liked the place.

I visited Andover Place once by myself and once with my father, and the staff was very accommodating. They seem to have a good range of activities and physical activities. The day I went there with my father, the activities director, Donya, showed us around. When my father mentioned he was a chess player, she took that and ran with it and said, "Oh good!" You can get a nice chessboard and set it up on a table so you can play chess with the other residents. They all seemed to care about him and were very accommodating about meeting his needs. What I liked best about it is they have three meals a day and they provide transportation to and from area stores and doctor's appointments. All the staff members that we've come in contact with have been very nice, helpful, and understanding.

Everything about Andover Place is very nice, but I can't afford it. The people I talked to were very nice, informative, and knew what they were talking about. They had a bus and take trips to lunch, shopping centers, and art center.

Overall, I liked Andover Place. It's pretty big and it's a good facility. The room I saw was large. Overall, it's a nice facility with pretty much everything included in the price, and everything is in one facility. If I were ready to move, it would certainly be at the top of my list. The price was good for what was included. The person who showed me around seemed to know the residents by name. I liked the management people. They treated me to lunch and it was pretty good. Their menu for the month was also pretty good. They have a little exercise room and a room with a pool table and cards.

Andover Place has a nice layout, but is tarnished and needs some upgrading, some maintenance, new paint, carpeting, and flooring. The staff was fantastic, I'm very pleased with them. The cleanliness of the place was good. There are a couple hundred people in the independent living community, so the dining area was large and nice. They were hosting a lunch the day that I visited for a group of 20 people and it looked pleasant.

The administration in this facility is apparently weak and inexperienced in management. The food quality, selections, and preparation are appalling as is the lack of kitchen staff. The kitchen environment is unsafe for staff with no airflow (air conditioner) and broken stoves. I have strong doubts about the nutritional value offered to residents daily. The value of living here, based on cost, has dwindled miserably. The facility itself was supposed to be redecorated and upgraded in the common areas more than 3 years ago, but it has yet to be accomplished. The carpet in those areas needs to be removed and/or replaced for hygiene purposes. I wonder how they pass safety codes.

Andover Place and the staff were very nice, but they had repairs going on, so they dont have any apartments available. We had a complete tour of the building. They showed us some of the areas, the library, and the movies, but the problem was parking, and we werent able to see the rooms. I was impressed with what I saw, and their little kitchen was very nice and well-staffed.

My Mom lives at Andover. She constantly complains about the poor food and high turnover of staff. The facility is outdated and in a constant state of repair.. needs renovations throughout.
