Sky Peaks was a beautiful place for elderly persons who can still manage themselves. It was a perfect place. The people were friendly, and the staff was wonderful. The food and service were wonderful as well. I loved it and recommend it.

I visited Sky Peaks and I thought it was super. They have this huge dining room, nice and open airy spaces, and it was easy to get to all the rooms. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and everyone wants to do the right thing. It's just too expensive for us. Other than independent living, they also have the ability to morph into assisted living, because they allow you to bring in caregivers; so it's more like a combination of the two, thats why I particularly cared for that place.

My visit to Sky Peaks was great. They showed me a 1-bedroom, and it was like a big hotel room. They serve three meals a day, and there's housekeeping. I went to the common area, and it was nice. It gave me a good feeling, and I was impressed.

I like Sky Peaks, but I can't move in yet because there's nothing on the first floor. I need something on the first floor because I have a dog. The first floor model wouldn't work because there were rocks all the way out to the driveway and I wouldn't want my dog doing anything on the patio. I visited the dining area. There was a gym, and they had several things going on during the day. It was very clean and very nice. I would consider it if I didn't have to be on the second floor. Even though on the second floor it is on a hill and I would be able to just walk out, I would like a place to let my dog out too.

Sky Peaks was a very nice facility. There's plenty of parking for people who stay there. It didn't have any two-bedrooms available at the time. They have everything available for anybody that needs anything plus they have a shuttle service. They have garages, but they're all taken. You have to get on a waitlist. The restaurant looked great. Everything was very clean. It just didn't have what I needed.

We chose Sky Peaks for my sister because it had more amenities and seemed to be a better fit for us. She likes her studio apartment. It's very clean and very well kept. What I was most impressed with besides the facility were the people that were in charge at that time. However, since she moved in, they've lost just about all their management staff. They try to bring in entertainment once a week. The last time I was there, it was a singing trio, and all the residents can partake in that if they like. They have daily games that they do with the residents and singing, and they have a library and knitting and sewing club. They're also able to take her to doctors' appointments and shopping, although they recently have not been able to do that because they don't have enough help to do that. They try to do well with the food, but they don't have a lot of selections. She has needed some medical assistance and they've had people that she's been able to hire to help her with some things.

I visited Sky Peaks, and we have it as a possible choice, but there were things we were concerned about. They were undergoing a transition with their management, and we've hear mixed reviews about the food service, dining room management, and restrictive meal times. The rooms were very nice, large, but we were not thrilled about the miniature kitchens. There were very small refrigerators and microwave ovens. We liked the rooms that have a balcony, and we liked that they update the rooms after a resident leaves, so that you get into a very nice, clean environment. The staff members were thorough in pointing out the different options, like the library, video room, game room, a good athletic room, and a beauty parlor.

My in-laws moved into Sky Peaks, and it's lovely. They've done a very nice job outside, the decor is really nice, and it looked like they're remodeling a bit. There are still a lot of ways to make it more modern, but it looks very nice, clean, and homey. They placed new carpeting, new floors, and painted the walls before my in-laws moved in. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially the maintenance guy. We were happy with the general manager. However, they were disappointed in the meal plan because it was very rigid, and you don't eat if you are late. It appeared clean to me and did not have any smell. They had a sing-along one night, and they enjoyed that, but they haven't participated in other activities yet.

My mom has been in Sky Peaks for a month now. It's not quite living up to the advertising, but it's good. My mom said the food is OK. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The staff cleans the place once a week, so it's very clean. They take them to doctors' appointments, shopping, and church. Right now, she's enjoying the people.

Sky Peaks was topnotch. The dining area was nice, large, and seemed adequate. I looked at the rooms they had available. They take the residents out. It seems to be better than most other facilities, and it's clean. We saw the lunch menu, and it had rotisserie chicken, which looked good. They had a front porch area and a lot of the rooms had little porches looking out on nothing. I didn't really see any type of large area in the back.

We loved the people and everything about Sky Peaks. The dining room was very open, and the rooms were very nice. However, my sister thought that the people were so much older than her. It was so beautiful. You could go out in their backyard that's set up beautifully, too.

Sky Peaks was really nice. The tour guide was new so he didn't know everything about the place. It was clean, but seemed older, and the outside seemed older than the inside. When we got there we didn't really see many people around. The room we saw there wasn't as nice as the ones in the other community we, but it was adequate. When we set up the tour we were supposed to eat there, but the staff at Sky Peaks didn't know that. We ended up eating there, but we did not like the food. They had three items on their lunch menu and nothing was seasoned. We had a meatloaf sandwich that was just white bread and meatloaf; no condiments whatsoever. The other meal was fettuccine alfredo that looked like it wasn't seasoned at all. When I observed the people there, no one was talking to each other, and they didn't look happy.

My visit with Sky Peaks was fine, but my sister wasn't happy with it. The place was very clean, very nice ,and beautiful. The people who work there were very sweet and nice. The rooms were very nice and had lots of selections. However, she would like to have a happy hour, which they don't have, but you can have wine in your room. It seemed to lean more on the religious side. When I went to have lunch, it took about an hour before we ate. They didn't have a lot of people that were out that actually work there. The people in the restaurant were very shorthanded and that would be a problem. The person that we dealt with was very friendly, very knowledgeable, very nice person, very easy to deal with, went through everything, explained everything and was right there with everything you need to know. I wasn't really excited about the food.
