We really like Cambridge Village of Apex, except the price. We did not like the cost. It was a full service senior living community, so it was understandable. It was a very well-run and happy place. People enjoy being there, and we enjoyed being there and visiting. I do not have anything negative to say except that in our situation, we feel that we don't quite need that level of care yet. They have a bus to they take everybody to places. They have all the standard activities, and even have therapy if you need it. They have an indoor swimming pool. They have just about anything you would consider having in a senior community. They gave us lunch, and it was wonderful. I have absolutely nothing negative to say except it was too expensive for our blood.

My sister is now at Cambridge Village of Apex. It has been adequate. My younger son has been helping her, but I believe everything is exceptionally well done and she is happy with things. She has some personal problems that are not related to the location, but other than that, they're doing their best for her. She is happy with the food and she is happy that she is able to shop and do things. I haven't been in the apartment myself, but I met her in the dining hall downstairs. It's been adequate. She has a fridge and she has the necessities. She can snack all she wants. She can do all the things she needs to do. I have limited contact with the staff, but they're very personable and very professional. The facility looks excellent. There is ample parking, and it is easy to get to. It's not a congested area. They seem to end their activities early. My sister plays different games, but the activities seem to break up early in the evening, and she prefers to be with a lot of people most of the time. She doesn't like to stay in her room, so she wishes the activity would go on later into the night. She said the games pretty much break up by 7:00 p.m. and she wished they would go on until 11:00 or 12:00. One thing she would prefer to change is that the activities could be later in the day.

Cambridge Village of Apex was new and very nice, but it was too expensive. It's close to a Wal-Mart, it had a medical facility right next door, and they had some of their doctors involved. We liked the place itself. It had an indoor pool that you could exercise in, libraries, and meeting rooms. The most impressive part was the availability to have doctors care for you in there. The staff was very nice. They had a coffee bar.

The staff members at Cambridge Village of Apex were very friendly. They had a lot of activities and there were lots of people in the lobby. They were willing to talk and interact with you. The location was great for us. We looked at the 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom with a den, it had a full kitchen, and the room-size seemed to be reasonable and well laid out. We ate there and the food was really good. The place is brand-new and looked great.

My mom moved into Cambridge Village of Apex. We're very pleased with it. She has to push a button every morning to make sure she's OK, and if not, they come in and check on her. Once a week, they vacuum for her, change her sheets, and that type of thing. Her apartment is very nice. It's not huge, but it's perfect for her. She went to some activities the other night. The staff has been excellent and wonderful, and they have helped her tremendously there. They have a very small but adequate library. They take trips during the day and you can go on the bus and they take you to the library.
