I did an in-person tour of The Manor At Oakridge. It was a very nice place. I even had signed their contract. The only thing is I went home that evening and after doing some curious thinking about it, I found out it would be much more economical for me/myself to have people come in and provide the same things that they provide. But if I get to where I couldn't do that, I would be there. It was a nice place. The rooms were clean, they were nice, and well kept.

I just moved into The Manor At Oakridge. It's very nice, everybody is very friendly, and they let me have my puppy. The food is not bad, it's not the greatest, and they make everything bland for different people. They have not had the virus. The staff is very nice.

My in-laws are staying at The Manor At Oakridge. It's working out really great. They've been very welcoming, and I really like the activities that they have there to keep all of their residents very busy. The staff is very good about answering any kind of questions especially for the sons and daughters. They're really accessible to all of us. We really liked it a lot.

My husband has moved into The Manor At Oakridge. It is a 55-plus community. They don't have a medical staff, but they are very nice people. The place is clean. They feed the residents well. They have activities for them all day long too. I have already told my grandkids that when the time comes and I have to go some place, that's where I want to go! I have eaten there with my husband four or five times now, and the food is always good. It is always hot, it is always a decent portion, and it is fairly nutritious. I'm really impressed. I never expected it to be the way it is. He has a wonderful room. He has almost 600-square feet all to himself; he is in a private room. Right now, my husband is doing very well. The staff members are very friendly and very courteous. They seem to be really concerned about the people's needs. They have a lot of repetitive activities, but a lot of the people like that. They take the residents outside if they want to go; however, it seems like a lot of the activities are geared more towards women. For everything they do for the people, I think the price is reasonable. Everything is just done for them, and I think it is more than a fair price.

The Manor at Oakridge was more of an independent living facility that offered personal care. The grounds and everything were nice, but it wasn't what we were looking for at this point. It was a larger facility. They had a beautiful dining area and nice common areas as well. The residents seemed to be happy and engaged. I thought it would be for somebody that had the ability to be more independent.

The Manor At Oakridge is overpriced and needs a lot of help. The people are very nice and considerate, but there are a lot of things that I think should be done differently. To me, it's more of an assisted living than a retirement home because half the people here have caregivers, and that's not what I signed up for. I have a 1-bedroom, which is a little on the small side, but it's very adequate. The food needs a lot of help. They do have card games, aerobics, and movie nights.
